We do love a bit of Diane Von Furstenburg but we can’t always afford it! So how happy were we when we found that our 80’s Vintage tux Jacket was bang on thread with her DVF Ivory Tux Jacket. Snap it up quickly for £30.00, a snip of the £378.00 designer price tag!

Hello,
My name is Chloë Butcher and I am a fashion, beauty and celebrity make up artist. Lady P has asked me to give you some tips and tricks on how to get the perfect look to go with the gorgeous outfits you can buy here. Every month I will share my insider knowledge on how to make the most of your make up and give you the tools to break that routine and turn you into a glamour puss.
80’s fashion has hit the stores in a massive way and the shops are overflowing with bright colours, bold patterns and big shoulders! Lady P has some gorgeous gems that are fantastic for a chic day look or glamourous party. 80’s fashion makes a real statement and the make up can too. There’s no shying away from the dramatic looks, so now’s the time to arm yourself with your brushes and palettes and get creative.
Three looks stand out from the decade of power dressing and punk rock; Statement brows, black eye liner and colours galore. You can make these as strong or subtle as you desire.

*Eyeliner rules in the world of rock and glamour. It gives the face such a striking look and defines your eyes so they are sexy and mysterious. There’s nothing like a bit of black kohl or liquid line to attract attention so make yourself irresistible by applying either Clarins Eye Pencil in Black or their High Precision Eye Liner, also in black. The trick is to pull the eyelid slightly towards your ear so the skin is smooth and it is much easier to apply the line in one fluid movement giving you a lovely straight line.

*Finally, this is your chance to get out your colours and really go to town. The beauty of this look is that it doesn’t need to be too perfect. It’s all about having fun and giving yourself an exciting new look to suit your mood and outfit. Think Cyndi Lauper cool and go crazy! The Nature Temptations Eye Palette by Clarins is a must for this look as are their Mono Eyeshadows that come in a glorious array of colours. Smudge and blend the colours on your eye lids, over the eye brows and up to your temples.

Now go and enjoy your new look and be prepared for lots of compliments!
See you next month.

Hello,
My name is Chloë Butcher and I am a fashion, beauty and celebrity make up artist. Lady P has asked me to give you some tips and tricks on how to get the perfect look to go with the gorgeous outfits you can buy here. Every month I will share my insider knowledge on how to make the most of your make up and give you the tools to break that routine and turn you into a glamour puss.
This month I’ve chosen these 3 dresses to inspire a new look for you!
This Two Layer Green 50’s Vintage Cocktail Dress is beautiful, floaty and effortlessly glamorous. There are several make up options that would work perfectly with it but I recommend a naturally soft and polished look with definition around the eyes.
*Always start by cleansing and thoroughly moisturising your skin. The better prepared it is, the smoother your make up will look.
*Skin should be fresh and flawless so the trick is to keep the foundation light and dewy. Chanel Teint Innocence Naturally Luminous Fluid Make Up is perfect and so easy to apply. Use a finger or sponge to buff the base into your skin. Take the time to work it into all the nooks and cranies until you have a good coverage.
*Next apply a very light dusting of powder to set your foundation. Follow this by applying a blush such as Chanel Joues Contraste Blush. Brush over the apples of your cheeks and blend up to your temples.

*Eyes have a lot of impact without using dark colours. Stick to browns and golds which are flattering on every eye colour. Apply a lighter colour from the lash line up to the brows then using a darker shade blend it into your socket line and slightly outwards in the direction of your temples. Take this darker colour and using a small soft brush apply it underneath the eyes.
*Finish the eyes with lashings of mascara on the top and botom lashes. This will suddenly make the colour of your eyes pop. Use a mascara such as Exceptionnel De Chanel Intense Volume & Sensational Curl Mascara as it will make them look longer and fuller.
*Finally apply a soft coloured lipstick. Chanel Rouge Hydrabase Creme Lipstick in Baby Gold would work perfectly as it’s delicate but very dramatic.
Second, this Full Length Sequined Vintage 80’s Evening Dress is amazing. It is from the decade of power ballads, power dressing and power eyebrows!! For this dress a sexy smoky eye would work wonderfully. Dramatic and eye catching.
*Skin needs to be cleansed and thoroughly moisturised. Chanel Sublimage Essential Regenerating cream is incredible, it makes your skin soft, smooth, fresh and irresistibly radiant.
*Foundation should be natural and even but with a more mat finish. Mat Lumiere Luminous Matte Powder Make Up by Chanel is easy to apply and comes with it’s own sponge ready to buff and blend.

*Smoky eyes can be created using grays, blacks and dark blues. Make sure the eyelids are powdered first to stop the eye shadow creasing. Using a soft rounded eyeshadow brush blend the colour from lashes to eye socket. Soften the edges by blending with a little extra face powder and pull slightly outwards. Line the inside of the eyes with white eyeliner to keep them bright and open.
*Cheekbones can be highlighted by using Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Orchid Rose
*Lastly, apply a subtle lipstick or gloss in a peachy nude colour.
Finally, this Vintage 60’s Pink Brocade Dress is very cute and would be adorable at a summer picnic in the park complete with matching blanket and picnic basket in hand. Make up can be light and playful for this look.
*Skin should be fresh and flawless. Keep the tone even so no need to put much blush or bronzer on.
*Take the time to curl your lashes so your eyes appear bigger and more open. Lashes should have a subtle coating of mascara. You don’t need too much because that will take the focus away from the lips.

*Lipstick should be bright and punchy and Chanel have the perfect colour in their Rouge Allure range. It is called Audace and is bold enough to make any face instantly glamorous. It works because it clashes with the dress and that is very big this season.
*The trick to long lasting lipstick is to line your lips with lipliner and using the same colour to fill them in. By applying the pencil first, your lipstick will have something to hold on to. It will stop the colour fading and feathering.
Now go and enjoy your new look and be prepared for lots of compliments!
See you next month.
